Truth Defined
It is that which has occured in the past and that which is occurring in the present. Truth is OBJECTIVE meaning that it is NOT dependent upon the perceptions of human beings because perceptions can waver.
Past & Present
The concept of truth is simply that it is that which already exists. It is that which has happened in the past and is happening in the present momment. This can be reimaged as the past having been recorded in the universal record, and that the present is being recorded.
This concept is illustrated beautifully in Hollywood's 2002 interpretation of H.G. Wells' novel, The Time Machine. In the film the protagonist is an inventor who builds a time machine to go back in time to prevent the death of his fiance. To his horror when he goes back in time he learns the hard truth that he cannot change the past for it has already been written.
The Future
Unlike the past and present, the future has not yet been written.
Truth vs. Perception
In the figure above there are three waveforms that oscillate about an axis, the straight white lines. The colored waveforms represent three seperate individual human perceptions. Lets refer to them as blue-man, green-man, and red-man. These individuals ability to perceive what has occured and what is occuring can be referred to as consciousness. Which can be defined as a beings ability to recognize patterns and meaning with respect to those patterns. Meaning that either you have an accurate understanding of what is taking place in and around you, or that you have an inaccurate understanding of what is taking place in and around you.
To fully understand this figure you must know what a waveform is. A waveform in this instance is simply a Sine wave. It has a crest and a trough, and the oscillating line repeats in this pattern. The distance from one crest to the next crest is the wavelength. The longer the wavelength, the shorter the frequency. What this means is how frequently the waveform will intersect with the axis, or the line that represents truth. Said another way, how frequently will the waveform representing human perception align with the straignt axis representing truth.
If your conciousness is high, meaning that it is at a high frequency(think blue-man) then this means the individual is going to have more of an abillity to understand and recognize the patterns. If your conciousness is low, meaning that it is at a low frequency (think red-man) then you are going to see the patterns less frequently. So to reiterate, as you move from low frequency to high frequcny you can see that the wavelength is shorter which means that it intersects the line that represents truth much more frequently. This can be quantified. From low to high, red-man intersects five times, green-man intersects ten times, and blue-man intersects twenty four times. So the higher the frequency of an individuals conciousness, the more in tune with truth that individual is.
The answer is that it would become indistinguishable from a line and therefore that individual would be aligned to that which is, truth.
The concept to be garnered is that perception is not reality, it is the human filter that we see reality through. It is our job, as concious beings to work to align our perception to the reality which exists which is truth. We need to set aside our desires for what we want the truth to be and instead look at the truth for what it is. The truth may be something entirely different than what we want it to be, but until we can recognize what it is we are not even in a position to make an accurate diagnosis of what is going on. If we cannot understand this then we have no hope of working to create what we want it to be.
